#1 · May 21, 2017 I have a 2005 Dodge Durango 5.7 hemi and lately it's been shutting off while driving and while idle. It also hesitates on accerleration ( there is always plenty of fuel in it ) and the check engine light comes on and off. It's not all the time, it's unpredictable! It's been doing it more lately though.
